Why you should ditch fast fashion and switch to Hemp clothing

The fashion industry is one of the leading polluters in the world and the largest contributor to the build-up of greenhouse gases! If you didn’t know this, it’s completely expected because they do a good job at hiding it from hitting the mainstream media. Hemp is known to be one of the most sustainable materials out there due to its soil replenishing properties, fast growth and overall usefulness. Other than the fact that hemp is highly sustainable, hemp fabric is also long-lasting, durable and feels extremely soft on the skin.

Let’s start with the basics – what is hemp?

Hemp is a variety of the Cannabis Sativa plant. It has a plethora of industrial benefits, it can be used not only in the making of textiles, but also oils, food, construction material, and much more. Hemp has negligible traces of THC and grows much faster than trees and other plants at a higher volume than most.

So what are the benefits of Hemp fabric?

      Reduces Carbon emissions:

As mentioned earlier, the fashion industry is one of the largest contributors to global warming and environmental issues. When Hemp is used as a material, it is eco-friendly an bio-degradable and as a crop, Hemp absorbs 4 times as much CO2 from the environment as trees. This means Hemp actively works on reducing the concentration of CO2 in the air.

Needs comparatively lesser water to grow:

Many crops used for fabric drink up a lot of water and require heavy irrigation. However, Hemp requires much less water as it does not require heavy irrigation to thrive. Another benefit is that it does not need a heavy use of insecticides and pesticides.

      Hemp enriches the soil:

Hemp restores much of the vital nutrients that have been lost. Multiple cycles of hemp can be grown on the same land and it can also be used a part of crop rotation. As mentioned earlier, it doesn’t require pesticides and therefore doesn’t include the pollution of soil through pesticides.

The fabric is comforting and cozy:

Hemp is easy on the skin and super breathable. It doesn’t absorb sweat, is resistant to fading, doesn’t wear off easily and holds shape even after multiple washes. In fact many have said that it gets softer with time. If you have a bad odor, hemp clothing may help you due to its anti-microbial properties.

Hemp may just be the future of clothing, as per the rate at which the fashion industry is hurting the environment we may not be left with any other choice but to switch to hemp. But why wait till it gets that bad? Switch to hemp clothing that’s fashionable, sustainable and feels so good! Shop various styles and patters at cbdstore.in today.

5 reasons why Hemp is the next big thing!

From hemp oil to tinctures to hemp body-care products in India – hemp has become an incredibly popular go-to for an array of problems or experiences and we’re sure you can’t help but wonder why. You may have seen a large number of people advocating for hemp skincare products or hemp oral products and might have even given it a chance because of the extensively popular reviews. What are the main reasons behind this upward growth? We’re sure there are many more, but here’s a breakdown of the top 5 reasons why this could be the case.

      1. It’s effective. Science is catching up slowly but the people already know.

The science behind its workings is still in the works. However, there are a number of studies that confirm what users already know: It works as a natural analgesic, relieving physical discomfort and speeding up recovery, it improves sleep quality through a calming effect, it reduces acne flare-ups and improves general skin quality and it acts as a stepping stone to an overall healthy lifestyle. In short - Hemp heals!
      2. It’s the natural alternative we’ve been looking for.

The past 6-8 years have been revolutionizing when it comes to the beauty and pharmaceutical industry. Customers have been demanding greater transparency when it comes to purchase. Nowadays everyone prefers products with a shorter ingredient list and preferably ingredients that are actually natural and familiar to them. Most importantly, consumers want more natural skin care or organic skin care. They don’t want any toxic chemicals, especially when they’re ingesting it or applying it on their skin or hair. This makes the perfect market for all natural products made using hemp/ hemp oil, doesn’t it?

      3. Hemp products cover a wide market

The best thing about hemp is that it’s so versatile. It has always been known but with growing acceptance of the cannabis industry, hemp has found a way to manifest into various products such as: Clothing, paper, food and beverage, bioplastics, biofuel and biodiesel, housing, animal bedding, automotive and more! And keep in mind, all of these products if packaged right are 100% eco-friendly.

      4. Production of hemp is easy and low maintenance

Hemp is known to be surprisingly resilient. It only requires 25% of the water required to grow cotton! It does not require as much pesticides or care as many of its contemporaries and is able to grow even in relatively harsh conditions. And due to this factor, high-quality hemp body care products are becoming more and more accessible to the public.
      5. It delivers a wide range of therapeutic effects

And when we say this we’re mainly talking about our favourite – hemp oil. Hemp oil feels totally natural to our body because it reacts to phytocannabinoids which are structurally and chemically very similar to our own cells. The push of full-spectrum hemp oil specifically has contributed to the growing popularity, advocacy, and acceptance of hemp.

Understanding CBG and CBN: the lesser known heroes of Hemp

Understanding CBG and CBN: the lesser known heroes of Hemp

If you’re here, that means you’re on the path of exploring the benefits of Cannabis or you’re already convinced and sure of the benefits. Either way, we’re here to tell you that the Cannabis industry is a fast-growing market due to the fact that it comes with innumerable benefits and many that are just being uncovered. As we all know, the most popular component of Hemp that has gained the most popularity is CBD. CBD, without a doubt, has some profound effects on wellness and energy levels. However, Hemp consists of more than hundred such compounds that come with their own benefits and the two we are highlighting are CBN and CBG.

Compounds like CBN and CBG can be found in full-spectrum hemp oil which comes with a plethora of benefits due to the presence of compounds such as terpenes, fatty acids along with other compounds like CBD, CBN and CBG. We know that our bodies are innately compatible with Cannabis because our body contains receptors in the Endocannabinoid System that bind naturally with CBD. The Endocannabinoid System is present in the body to regulate various functions like sleep, mood, appetite, inflammation and pain. Among the molecules that bind with CBD when introduced into the body is CBG and CBN.

      hemp oil

      What is CBG?

CBG, short for Cannabigerol makes up 3% of the Cannabis plant. It is the precursor to CBD, CBC and THC. It is known as the stem cell because it breaks into these compounds. The older the plant, the more the chances are that it will break into these compounds. CBG, much like CBD does not get you ‘high’ but it is one of the compounds that balance out the high of THC, giving you a more palatable feeling. However, it does present its own set of health benefits that include:

      • Potential treatment of glaucoma
      • Anti-inflammatory benefits
      • Combating neurodegenerative disorders,
      • Potential anti-cancer and anti-bacterial treatment

A clearer understanding of CBG is still being sought as it is one of the harder compounds to obtain

      CBD products

      What is CBN?

While CBG is a pre-cursor to CBD, CBN is the successor to THC. CBN only exists in mature plants because it is the result of an ageing process that turns THCA into a new molecular compound. In short, continuous exposure to light and oxygen eventually turns THC into CBN. This compound also comes with its own set of benefits that scientists are slowly unraveling. Some of them include:

      • Protection of the nervous system
      • The capability to heal and grow bones
      • Pain relief
      • Anti-inflammatory properties
      • May treat epilepsy

When these compounds are taken along with the others such as CBD, an entourage effect is produced. This delivers health benefits that are greater than the sum of its parts as they interact with each other to give you a wider range of benefits.

If you are intrigued and want to experience the benefits of these compounds first hand, browse our site and find the product that suits you best.
